ROBBIE EMORY GETS 1ST CAREER WIN IN CRATE MODELS

In only his second year behind the wheel of a Crate Model, Robbie Emory led wire to wire to win the 15-lap main for his first career victory. The 15 year old from Milton, Del. was not intimidated by starting on the pole and led every lap.

 

Mike Wharton was the first driver to pressure Emory and then Clint Chalabala took over in second. Tyler Reed grabbed second on lap four but Chalabala would regain the spot for good on the next lap. Cautions spread throughout the feature kept the competition on Emory’s back bumper for the entire distance. By halfway John Imler had climbed to third with Clay Tapman in fourth and Chris Hitchens in fifth.

 

Joe Warren was on the move climbing from tenth to fourth with Robbie’s dad, John Emory following into fifth. The youngster performed like a veteran and never made a mistake to drive his Northbound Produce car built by his father to his first win. Chalabala finished in the second spot with Imler third. Fourth went to Warren and John Emory rounded out the top five. Fast time in qualifying was set by Warren.
