DELAWARE INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY’S POINTS OPENER RAINED OUT AGAIN

By Charlie Brown, DELMAR, DE – There is an old saying that “three’s the charm.” After the third consecutive rain out of the speedway’s 2017 points opener Delaware International Speedway is hoping that the “charm” will be clear skies and warm temperatures this Saturday night.

This Saturday will be Elliott Farms Night with the RUSH Crate Late Models going 20 laps and the winner earning a guaranteed starting spot in the Fall Championship in October. Also on the program will be the NAPA Big Block Modifieds, the S.R. Pete & Sons Super Late Models, the AC Delco PSC 602 Sportsman, the Mod Lites and the Delmarva Chargers.

The following week on Thursday night, May 25th the “Diamond State 50” for the Big Block Modifieds returns as part of the Full Throttle Racing Series round two and the Short Track Super Series Southern Region Series. The first race of the Full Throttle Series produce a stellar field of 32 Big Block and some great side by side racing on the new clay surface. The AC Delco 602 Sportsman and the Super Trucks will join the program.
