By CHARLIE BROWN, DELMAR, DE – Jamie Russell of Dover, Del. started off Friday night racing at the U.S. 13 Dragway by putting his name in the win column in Super Pro for the first time this season. Roger Ridgeway, Jr. padded his point lead in Pro with another victory while James Farmer of Denton, Md. did likewise in Pro Bike. Other winners on the night included: Gary Stickles of Delmar, Md. in Street; Billy McLamb of Delmar, Md. in Hot Rod; Ethan Hubbard of Princess Anne, Md. in Jr. Dragster 1 and Jerel Davis of Salisbury, Md. in Jr. Dragster 2

Jamie Russell in his 180 mph dragster faced Billy Groton of Seaford, Del. in his eight second Camaro in the Super Pro final. Groton left early and turned on the red light while Russell ran a full pass for the win at 7.364/180.79 on a 7.37 dial. Semi-finalists were Bobby Insley of Salisbury who lost to Russell and Lyle Jarrett, IV who lost to Groton.

Roger Ridgeway, Jr. was back in the Pro final in his ’80 Mustang this time against Ben Garnett of Smyrna, Del. in a ’71 Maverick. Ridgeway, Jr. had the better reaction and raced to the victory with a 9.101/142.87 on a 9.07 dial. Garnett had a 9.397/132.99 on a 9.35 dial. Semi-finalist was David Hornsby of Delmar who lost to Ridgeway, Jr. while Garnett had the bye.

It was back to back wins for James Farmer in Pro Bike as this time it was Gavin Cromwell of Cambridge, Md. in the runner-up spot. Farmer had the better start and ran an 8.544/137.38 on an 8.51 dial for the win. Cromwell had a 9.040/150.07 on an 8.96 dial. Semi-finalist was Harvey Powell of Parsonsburg, Md. who lost to Cromwell while Farmer had the bye.

Gary Stickles took his ’78 Fairmont to the finish line first in the Street final over John Henderson of Frederica, Del. in his ’69 Camaro. It was a close run with Stickles earning the win with a 13.699/95.44 on a 13.68 dial while Henderson ran an 11.946/111.75 on an 11.93 dial.

It was Dodge against Dodge as Billy McLamb took the win in the Hot Rod final over Urias Shockley of Dover. McLamb had the better reaction and ran a 13.490/93.72 on a 13.40 for the win. Shockley had a 15.406/94.12 on a 15.33 dial.

In Jr. Dragster action Ethan Hubbard faced Cody Drummond of Laurel, Del. in the Jr. 1 final. Drummond was too quick and broke out with a 12.125/54.39 on a 12.16 dial while Hubbard got the win light with a 9.037/71.41 on a 9.02 dial. In the Jr. 2 final it was Jerel Davis paired with Alexis Truitt of Parsonsburg, Md. Davis had the quicker reaction and drove to the win with a 7.959/80.86 on a 7.90 dial. Truitt ran an 8.004/82.22 on an 8.02 dial.

Wednesday night, June 11th there will be a Tune & Test night. Gates open at 5 p.m. with time runs from 6 until 9 p.m. Friday night June 13th will be another exciting Summit E.T. Racing Series event with gates opening at 3:30, time runs at 4:30 and eliminations beginning at approximately 8 p.m.
