2015 U. S. 13 DRAGWAY NEW EVENTS
For 2015, we are experimenting with four Index categories. All index classes run Heads up – 1/8 mile .400 (Pro Tree) 1/4 mile .500 (Pro Tree) All entries must meet NHRA Safety rules and drivers must have class appropriate NHRA license. The driver that is closest to the index ET (without running under) on the last time run (2 time run sessions) will receive the first round bye. All classes will be called to single lane, racers will flip a coin for lane choice. No ladder run-off, you will run the car in front of you / or behind you. If you run faster than the INDEX ET during eliminations, you will be disqualified. If both drivers run faster than the INDEX ET, the driver closest to the index will be the winner. After first round, the bye run will be determined by the best reaction time from the previous round. Bye run recipients DO NOT carry over in the event of even cars to the next round.
Pay-Outs will be gambler style 75% pay back. Entry Fee $50 All classes
4.90 Dragster Only (1/8) Throttle Stops Allowed, Buy Backs
5.80 Door Car Only (1/8) No Throttle Stops Allowed, Buy Backs
10.00 Door Car Only (1/4) No Throttle Stops Allowed, Buy Backs
11.50 Door Car Only (1/4) No Throttle Stops Allowed, Buy Backs
TAKE A CHANCE RACE
Super ET, Pro ET and Pro Bike categories will receive 2 races during the season. Racers can purchase a “Take a Chance Card” in the tower before the beginning of 1st round of eliminations. This card represents a commitment between the Track and Racers who purchase a chance to win or not to win more money. How it works? A racer purchases the TAC card (Same cost as entry). If he or she gets to the finals we will bump their winnings to the next payout. If both racers are holders, then winner & runner up will be bumped to next payout level.
Example: Racer #1 purchases TAC card, reaches the finals, they finish runner-up. Pay-off for the night (Super 33-48 cars) R/UP $400 racer receives $500(only). Let’s say the racer wins, they would receive $1500 (only) instead of the $1000. In the case of both racers reaching the finals holding TAC cards, the winner & runner-up portions only, would then be bumped to the next payoff level. If neither finalist holds the TAC card, the track keeps the money from the event. Wanna “Take A Chance?”
