US 13 Dragway
RAIN POSTPONES CHEVY SHOW, SHINE & DRAGS – 6TH ANNUAL FORD MOTORSPORTS SHOW THIS SUNDAY
By Charlie Brown, Delmar, DE – For the seventh time this season rain played havoc with drag racing action at the U.S. 13 Dragway. The William J. & Juanita Cathell Memorioal 49th Anniversay Chevy Show Shine and Drags will now be held on Sunday, September 9th.
This Sunday, September 2nd, will be the 6th Annual Ford Motorsports Show plus 422 Motorsports All Stars and the final points for Super Pro, Pro, Pro Bike, Street Eliminator, and Jr. Dragster classes plus Bike Trophy.
The Ford Show will be hosterd by the Cheswold Connection Ford Racing. The first 100 entries will receive dash plaques. There will be 26 first place awads, 26 second place awards and 26 third place awards. Show cars must be Ford powered. Gates open at 10 a.m. with time runs at 11 a.m. General Admission is just $12 with children 13 and under free when accompanied by a parent. Rain date for the event is Sept. 16, 2012.
