OUTTEN BROS OF SALISBURY RENEWS AS PRO BIKE SPONSOR AND MAKE A HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 3RD ANNUAL BIKE BRAWL EVENT
(February 7, 2017 Mark Cathell)
Last year, the Pro Bike category at the U.S. 13 Dragway, gained a new sponsor and class name. Outten Bros. Furniture of Salisbury, joined forces with the track to sponsor the Pro Bike division as well as, the 2nd annual Bike Brawl event. In year one, at the event, an increased bike count showed that the race had future potential.
Upon renewing their contract for the 2017 race season, Outten Bros. of Salisbury wants to make a huge announcement for the 3rd annual Bike Brawl event! Company owner, Roland Powell Jr. and Marketing manager Mark Cathell, have put together the “Largest Pro Bike Payout in the history of the Dragway. “We really enjoyed being part of the racing family here at U.S. 13 last year, states Powell. “Our goal, with the tracks assistance, is to make the Bike Brawl event one to remember and will be talked about for years to come, says Powell.
“Working with Mr. Powell and Outten Bros. of Salisbury last year, was an honor for us, Cathell states. “It is nice to have sponsors come into the business with the dedication and support Outten Bros. has shown. The motorcycle division has always been an important part of our weekly racing program here at the dragway, Cathell goes on to say. This year we are excited to announce, for the 3rd Annual Bike Brawl event, Outten Bros. Pro Bike eliminator will pay $2,000 to the winner! In addition, we will bring back last year’s BAD 8 Bike Shoot Out. This will qualify the fastest 8 bikes, to go head-to- head in the first round of competition. The winner will pick up $500 and be crowned the Outten Bros Bad 8 Bike Champ and go on to round 4 of eliminations. This gives a rider the potential of walking away with $2,500 in prize money! With this year’s purse and race format, we hope to produce a record number of participants. Together, our goal is to reach 100 entries for the event and with this expanded payout, we feel confident that it will be reached!
So, on Sunday April 30th, if you are a motorcycle enthusiast, this date needs to be on your calendar. Along with the 3rd Annual Bike Brawl, will be our weekly Summit Super Series bracket racing, in the Top ET, Mod ET, Street ET and Jr. Dragster categories. Gates will open at 10 am, Time trials begin at 11 am, and eliminations to follow. General admission is only $15, with children 13 and under FREE with a paying adult.
