Groton Takes Top Win and Last Door Car at Ketterman’s Bad 8

Saturday’s weather was a hit at U. S. 13 Dragway while racers brought out some of the fastest Door cars and Dragster to qualify for Jerry Ketterman’s Bad 8. 

Bad 8 Finals 

Door Car: Randy Perdue took the win over Charles Redd by running dead on his dial. 

Dragster: Jason Barrow ran a 4.44 on a 4.41 to take the win over Alan Glatt.

Bad to the Bone (overall Bad 8 winner): Jason Barrow runs a 4.45 on a 4.44 dial to take the win over Randy Perdue. 

#1 Doorcar Qualifier was Donnie Teague 

#1 Dragster Qualifier was Bruce Mullins 

Top ET overall winner for $5,000 was Billy Groton, who ran dead on his dial after Bernie Pyles dropped red. 

Wayne Ketterman’s last door car standing went to Billy Groton as well. The final 3 cars left in top, Billy Groton, Bernie Pyles, and Bobby Bladen, were all in door cars. 

The Mod ET win went to Daryl Beauchamp running dead on his dial of a 6.16 over Ben Garnett. 

Jonathan Henry took the win over Cole Foskey by running dead on his dial of a 7.92 in the Jr. Dragster class. 

U. S. 13 Dragway will continue Sunday (May 23rd, 2021) with Top, Mod, Hot Rod, OBHF Pro Bike, and Jr. Dragsters. Gates open at 9 am with 1 time run for each class beginning at 10 am.
