Weekend Recap of Coastal Clash Presented by Accutrench
Thursday evening started with parking for the Inaugural Pepboys Speed Shop & Off Road Coastal Clash presented by Accutrench. Racers from several states came to cash in on one if not all the purses for this event.
Friday’s race started with time runs and kicking off the event with $10k to win Top, $5k to win No-box and $1k to win the Jr. Dragster class. Despite the few rain delays the event was completed late into the night with the following winners.
KKC Performance Top: Bobby Spence over Wayne Patton
East Coast Chassis & Performance No-box: Brandon Michaels over Keith Mayers
Elzey’s Septic Service Jr. Dragsters: Nathan Mendenhall over Hunter Groat
The weather for Saturday allowed the second day to go off without any issues. The same purse amounts were up for grabs on Saturday along with the Competitive Suspension 64 car shootouts for Top, No Box and Jr. Dragsters from Friday night. Eventually all the Competitive Suspension shootout races were split due to curfew and the Landstone Designs pit vehicle race was not ran due to curfew.
