U.S.13 Dragway Run for the Rod and Fall Season Schedule Updates

Announcement for the WDRA RUN FOR THE ROD! At the 61st Anniversary Chevy Show Sunday, competitors were competing for a chance to win one of the coveted WDRA Rod Trophy’s. After several discussions, we have made the decision to continue the run off for the Rod Trophies with the remaining drivers that were left in each class before the rain stopped the event on Super Chevy Sunday. There will not be any additional money or points awarded, we felt to be fair to the few that were remaining in each class, it was best to finish the original race for the rod trophies. This will take place on Saturday, November 2 during the time run sessions. Classes remaining were, Top, Mod, Sportsman, Pro Bike and Jr. Dragster.

The staff of SDM Promotions updated the Fall Season schedule for the weekends of September 20-22 and November 1-3.

We will now offer two time run sessions for all classes on Saturday and one time run session for all classes on Sunday. The new format will begin this weekend and also be in place for the Halloween Shootout.

The Coastal Quick 16 Series has now been changed to the fastest 8 Door Cars and Fastest 8 Dragsters. Qualifying will be held through the Top ET qualifying session on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday, September 21, will run all classes and points for the Track Championship Chase, plus the all new Coastal Quick 16 Series.

The OBHF Pro Bike class will have a special award added to the winner circle. OBHF had to postpone their Annual Bike Brawl due to a scheduling conflict until 2025. They are however, going to award Saturdays Pro Bike winner with the prestigious WDRA ROD TROPHY!

Sunday, September 22, will be the much anticipated “18th Annual Fast Ford Sunday and Steve Drummond Memorial.” This event features the Cheswold Connection Ford Car Show and Ford vs the World brackets in our Top, Mod and Sportsman categories. (This event is an ALL run and is not exclusive to Fords only.) The Coastal Quick 16 Series will also be on hand qualifying the fastest 8 door cars and 8 dragsters on the property.

It all gets started this weekend on Friday, September 20, gates open for parking and test & tune at 5pm. Test & Tune runs from 6pm to 10pm. Over night Parking is just the spectator admission of $15 per person. Test & Tune Tech Card is $30 and open to Top, Mod, Pro Bike, Sportsman, Jr. Dragsters, Teen Challenge and No Time.

Saturday, September 21, Gates open 10am, Time Runs begin 11am. Spectator is $20, Top ET entry $85, Mod ET $55, Pro Bike $35, Sportsman $30, Jr. Dragster $25 and Teen Challenge $20. Coastal Quick 16 entry $200.

Sunday, September 22, Gates open 9am, Time Runs begin 10am. Car Show registration 9am to 2pm, awards ceremony 3pm. Car Show entry $20 car & driver, Spectator $20.

Top ET entry $80, Mod ET $55, Pro Bike $35, Sportsman $30, Jr. Dragster $25 and Teen Challenge $20. Coastal Quick 16 entry $200, to be paid in 2nd floor of the tower after qualifying.
