US 13 Dragway
JOE GLYNN CAPTURES FOOTBRAKE NATIIONALS AT U.S. 13
Joe Glynn faced Vincent Wade of Eden, Md. in the Footbrake final. Wade left too early and red light fouled and Glynn made a full pass with a .107 reaction and a run of 10.088/131.21 on a 10.07 dial for the win. Semi-finalists were Brent Cannon of Seaford who lost to Wade and Toya Peek of Houston, Del. who lost to Glynn.
In the Combo final it was Brooks Moore in his ’66 Nova taking on Phillip Truitt of Parsonsburg, Md. in his dragster. Truitt had the better reaction but Moore had the better run taking the win with a 10.843/116.06 on a 10.82 dial. Truitt ran an 8.063/162.57 on a 7.98 dial. Semi-finalist was Mike Jones of Salisbury who lost to Truitt while Moore had the bye.
Tony Stokes rode up against Peter Mahoney of Parsonsburg in the Pro Bike final. Mahoney had a red light foul and Stoke rode to the win with a 10.597/134.83 on a 10.54 dial. Semi-finalist was Antwine Nock of Georgetown, Del. who lost to Stoke while Mahoney had the bye.
Dennis Davis defeated Chelsea Williams of Seaford in the Street final. Davis had the better reaction time and took the win with an 11.654/114.30 on an 11.57 dial. Williams was late at the start but ran a 10.590/126.60 on a 10.58 dial. In Bike Trophy it was Keshawn Hopkins taking on James Farmer, Jr. of Milford, Del. Hopkins had the better start and ran a 10.101/108.66 on a 10.00 dial for the win. Farmer, Jr. had an 11.830/117.66 on an 11.77 dial.
In the Jr. Dragster 1 final, T.J. Williams was paired against Tyler Powell of Delmar, Md. Williams had the better start and took the win with a 8.959/71.03 on an 8.91 dial. Powell ran a 9.029/71.41 on a 9.01 dial. It was back to back wins for Cortney Cathell in Jr. Dragster 2. Cathell faced Alexis Truitt of Parsonsburg in the final and had the better reaction and a run of 7.918/79.70. Truitt broke out with a 9.088/69.65 on a 9.12 dial.
This Sunday, October 21st there will be no racing as Sunday is the rain date for the Delaware State Dirt Track Championships at the Delaware International Speedway.
